Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

We are committed to providing the very best levels of support for all children and recognise that some children may have special educational needs and disabilities requiring tailored and specific support.

Speedwell Nursery School implements the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice (2014) operating a fully inclusive approach to admissions and entry to early years learning. The Department for Education publish a guide for parents (Pdf).

We work closely with families and children who wish to join our school community to minimise barriers and provide full participation through an inclusive learning environment where all children are valued and supported to achieve their individual best.

Please refer to our SEND information report and local offer (Pdf) and SEND policy to find out more about what we provide for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
